Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen

Synopsis

Georgia ended things with her high school boyfriend Leo in the aftermath of a sexual assault — now she’s the PR director for his professional hockey team, and her father is the head coach riding Leo harder than any other rookie on the roster. Every attempt to keep things professional keeps failing, in a reunion where the workplace, the family pressure, and the unresolved history are all impossible to escape at once.

Why We Loved It

Every angle of this reunion comes loaded: a workplace they can’t escape, a parent with real authority over both their careers, and history neither of them gets to avoid just by staying professional.
